Our Commitment
DSD Property Services is committed to:
- Complying with all applicable Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and other relevant requirements.
- Providing and maintaining, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy workplace.
- Identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing effective control measures to eliminate or minimise risks associated with our activities.
- Ensuring safe systems of work, including appropriate procedures for cleaning, maintenance, manual handling, use of chemicals, equipment, and plant.
- Providing appropriate information, instruction, training, and supervision to ensure all workers are competent to perform their duties safely.
- Consulting with employees and contractors on health and safety matters and encouraging participation in improving safety outcomes.
- Requiring all employees, contractors, and visitors to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others.
- Ensuring incidents, hazards, and near misses are reported, investigated, and addressed promptly.
- Supporting injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work processes where required.
- Continually reviewing and improving our health and safety practices and performance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Management is responsible for providing leadership, resources, and oversight to ensure effective health and safety management.
- Employees and contractors are responsible for following safety procedures, using equipment correctly, reporting hazards and incidents, and cooperating with WHS initiatives.
Policy Review
This policy is communicated to all employees and contractors through induction and ongoing communication. It is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains current, effective, and aligned with legislative requirements and business operations.
